My photographic philosophy is to immerse myself into whatever environment I find myself, using my "Macro to Micro" approach. In this approach I first concentrate on the "Big Picture", the Macro, taking in the surroundings through Wide Angle and Panoramic images. Next, I zero in on the smaller discrete elements that make up the scene.

It is through this two part process that I attempt to capture the essence of what I photograph. Working this way, and taking my time, I am able to more fully experience my surroundings and capture the images that really define the experience. I'm sure that my past life as a field biologist has impacted my powers of observation in a big way.

My motifs are very diverse, reflecting the breath of my own interests and my driving curiosity about the world we live in. I hope there is something here that catches your attention.
